Recently, a local radio station in Northern Colorado came to us to help them re-design their 2015 Nissan Pathfinder to reflect their new branded logo. We were lucky enough to work with them on their first wrap. They changed their logo quite a bit to reflect their new sound. We wanted to help them keep to their budget as well, so this new wrap needed to be a custom partial vehicle wrap.
The color scheme to be used in the wrap was changed to a simple blue, and red based design. We decided to design this with the logo in mind. It’s highlighted by the angled lines with the blue and red sampled from the darkest blues and darkest reds. The website address and corporate logos also needed to be clearly shown on the wrap. We also installed perforated window vinyl on the side and rear windows for additional coverage. But, the best part about perforated vinyl is that you can see out of it from inside the vehicle.
Even custom partial vehicle wraps can be versatile and can increase your visibility to your audience. You can also think of vehicle wraps as a moving billboard! If you are on the road, driving your company van or truck around, you can take all those views you’re getting on the highway or parked as a way to engage potential customers. Small businesses can benefit greatly from vehicle wraps, especially if your business is new in town. The cost saved by shifting your marketing budget to include a vehicle wrap or vehicle graphics (like side door decals, or rear window graphics) is great after you look at the cost of an actual billboard.
By far, the most interesting and fun projects that we have been a part of have been the custom vinyl wraps on the uncommon vehicles (even the non-vehicles). As long as the surface is nice and smooth without too much varying texture, you can probably wrap it! Premium wrap vinyl is becoming more and more versatile, allowing for many different applications on a wide variety of surfaces. Of course, there are limitations. We can’t wrap your dog, sorry!
Full wrap on grain silo for MillerCoors® – Golden, CO
This project was so much fun and we’re so happy with the finished product. It was definitely a huge undertaking. The concept was simple; to change the grain silo (one of many) into a beer can. Easy enough right? The whole job took 150 yards (that’s 450 feet) of vinyl. As well as 150 yards of lamination to protect the print from the elements. Our printer was running non-stop for four days! The installation took some coordination as well, but we were able to install this monster graphic in only two days!
Another unique non-vehicle custom wrap we’ve done are a few gun safe wraps. Gun safes are actually very practical and easy to apply graphics to. The graphic design, however, was what the focus was on for these wraps. We think the finished “look” is pretty awesome, though!
Speaking of gun safes, we’ve also wrapped a gun! This was actually for the owner of Connecting Signs, Bruce Gardner! The wrap is a solid color-change vinyl in matte army green. According to Bruce, the purpose of the wrap is to provide a little more camouflage when he’s out hunting.
Finally, a fridge wrap! This is a great idea to graphically appeal to your customers when they’re waiting for their order. You can take this opportunity to answer some frequently asked questions, or to display a special! You can be sure that this will attract plenty of attention from customers and potential customers.
There’s so many fun things you can do with vinyl and so many ways to appeal to your audience. Are you interested in a custom wrap? Give us a call or click here to get a quote or a free consultation with our team!
