Almost three years ago we started our own sign business. With the help of a company called Signworld, we made the commitment to follow the business “model” that Signworld developed to help others like us start their own sign business.
Signworld is a national organization with more than 250 independently owned sign companies, which provide commercial custom signage and graphics. It is personable, creative, rewarding and ideal for people-oriented individuals who have the desire to learn how to manage a sales and production business. Signworld affiliates are a cut above traditional sign companies. Ongoing support and training is provided along with the state-of-the-art equipment. We couldn’t have done this without their support, knowledge, experience and many more qualities. A few years ago, we didn’t know what vehicle wraps and graphics were or vinyl wraps. And we are learning more and more about this exciting business everyday!
Signworld hosts a sign convention and trade show every year for all the owners-new and old. It is just another way the company helps sign owners. The convention’s goal is to help owners enhance business and increase sales. The convention consists of a trade show with products and services needed to run our business. We meet suppliers who help us with the different products needed for specific jobs. We meet other owners; sharing stories, advice, and experience. When you talk to someone who is been running their own sign business for 25 or more years, that is an awesome opportunity! The agenda of the convention is filled with talks from experts in the field of sign making, internet marketing and so much more. The convention has meals and socials going on when the talks are finished; more chances to talk to owners and suppliers.
One of the best part of the convention is the big dinner and awards ceremony. It is so interesting to hear how well other owners are doing through this amazing recognition! Signworld gives out awards in many catagories; including the amount of sales your business did in a year. That’s where this beautiful plaque came from! We are very proud of this award! We hope to receive many more.
We certainly know we’ve got all the help we need to get another award. The future looks bright!
